Promises Never Expire!

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give us" Galatians 6:9.

I would be remiss today if I didn't dedicate this blog to Gipsie Miller, our grandmother. She is 100 years old and today marks a miraculous day in her life. She was called in 1942 to record her pilgrimage of finding God daily through spiritual journaling. God promised her that down the road she would be commissioned to write a book documenting her pilgrimage. In the 1980's He called her to the task which she faithfully responded. Today is her book signing for the release of Pilgrimage to the Promised Land! God's promise of 1942 has been realized in 2008. Glory to God in the highest! When we truly and completely surrender our own agenda and timeframe we allow Him to fulfill His promises to us "at the proper time" which glorifies Him - not satisfies us! My grandmother is truly an example of a surrendered spirit not rushing God's timing but resting on His promises. Promises never expire - they age perfectly!

What have you been promised that you are still waiting on?

Gipsie Miller was priviledged to get a glimpse yesterday of the Promise Land. She saw Dewey, her spouse who passed away in 1992, and Jesus. She was laughing, happy, and praising God for her heavenly home. She requested me (Don) to read John 14 to her. I opened her Bible and she quoted it herself!

"Let not your heart be trouble, you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you".

We all rejoiced with her including the staff at Lancaster Convalesence Center.

Praise His Holy Name!!

Today Gipsie Miller signed a copy of her book Pilgrimage to the Promise Land for a couple visiting the lancaster Convalescence Center where she is resident. The couple from Kershaw, SC had heard about the book and wanted a copy.

God gave Mom the strength to accomplish this while Brenda Emmons conducted a book signing in Gastonia, NC on this very day.

Happenstance?? I think not.
