Let Freedom Ring!

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17

Happy 4th of July - food, family & fireworks!

True freedom comes from the Holy Spirit who brings all things in line with Christ. My celebration of freedom comes on another day - Christ's resurrection for it was on this day that we were attributed freedom in and through Christ. Since we as Christians can do all things through Christ we can access freedom in anything through the Holy Spirit - He is our freedom fighter!

True freedom is ours when we fully surrender everything in our lives to Christ. Through surrendering our captivities whatever they may be we gain freedom!

May your day be marked with the freedom in Christ!

Our pastor made three observations about our willingness:

1. Be willing to move from where you are to where God wants you.

2. Be willing to be led by the Holy Spirit.

3. Be willing to be accountable to God.

Are any of these easy? NO! But if we rely on the Spirit of the Lord, there indeed is freedom.

My prayer for Beth today is that God will grant her strength as she undergoes chemo treatments Thursday and Friday. Also, that her pain will go away.

My prayer for Brenda is thankfulness to a loving God who has chosen her as the person to begin a new ministry. Also, for her compassionate nature and care in helping other people and serving as a role model for her children

My prayer for Benay is thankfulnees as God uses her as a single mom in raising two children under very difficult circumstances Also, for her faithfulness in church leadership roles.

My prayer for Becki is thankfulness for a loving and caring mom to children branching out in their collage studies. Also, for her Christian walk and fellowship with God.

Above all, TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE.

As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust Him. Ps. 18:30
